Forgiveness

In any belief system related to Christianity, a person who feels guilt must learn to accept forgiveness, if not from the person wronged (from whom forgiveness can never be demanded), then at least from God, who is believed to be ready to forgive anyone who truthfully repents. To hang on to ones’s fault, once it has been revealed, forgiven, and amends for it made- to refuse to move on-is to fall into shame, the opposite of guilt and forgiveness. For it means believing that one’s very self has been diminished (a rejection of God’s love and forgiveness)
